Sight of a Vicuña

Cusco, Peru 10-2011

My first trip to Peru occurred last October, 2011.  It was so memorable that it has changed even the way I talk about my life.  For example, ‘before Peru’ or ‘since Peru’ are sometimes the way I start a sentence.  That is the kind of effect this place has on you.  It all started with seeing this beautiful creature called the vicuña.
After unpacking my clothes in my room at the San Agustin Internacional Hotel in Cusco.  I looked out the window and literally gasped in awe of seeing the vicuña relaxing in the sun.  These beautiful animals are so graceful and content that I was mesmerized by their calmness.  This vicuña in particular was having a good time laying on the soft velvety grass, and as I watched, I felt welcomed and relaxed.

I specialize in content curation that communicates the heart of indigenous cultural and spiritual wisdom. I enjoy researching, writing and sharing about sacred sites, ceremony, shamanism from indigenous cultures in North, Central and South America. I take pride in curating and creating content that respects indigenous people, the sacredness of life, and Earth-based wisdom.
